This is not your average deck of playing cards. Brooklyn design duo Fredericks & Mae created this full-spectrum deck to delight players of all ages. The cards feature a colorful face with dazzling geometric details and a black and white pattern on the back. Deck arrives in a sturdy box with foil stamping, plus a miniature booklet where the curious can find playing card history, game instruction, and information about the artists.
Notes from the vendor:
"Playing cards were invented in Imperial China. They were found in China as early as the 9th century during the Tang Dynasty (618–907). Playing cards first entered Southern Europe in the 14th century, probably from Mamluk Egypt, using the Mamluk suits of cups, coins, swords, and polo-sticks, and which are still used in traditional Latin decks."
