Sake novices and experts alike will enjoy this Tokubetsu Junmai Sake from the Shirakabe Gura brewery in Japan's Nada region, the heart of sake country. This fine imported rice wine is brewed using pure Miyamizu water (the famous well water from Nishinomiya City that's essential to making superior sake) and carefully selected grains of rice. Junmai "pure rice" sake is composed of only polished rice, water, koji and sake yeast--no alcohol or sugar is used in the crafting of this wine. The result is a balanced, medium-dry sake with a complex crisp finish and mild, pleasant aroma. Serving suggestion: serve room temperature to warm with mildly seasoned food.
