McEvoy Ranch

In the late 1980s, Nan Tucker McEvoy purchased 550 acres of fertile land in Marin County and planted a thousand Tuscan olive tree seedlings. Over time she and McEvoy Ranch put California on the map as a top olive oil producer. Today her son, Nion McEvoy, continues to produce award-winning organic extra virgin olive oils and has expanded to include vinegars, tapenades and wine. In addition to giving back to a number of causes, the ranch is eco-focused using wind power, by-product compost, and sustainable farming practices.
